One of FC Barcelona's players, who is currently out on loan from the club, has found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons after allegedly breaking another man's nose in a nightclub brawl.
Arda Turan never really settled at the Camp Nou after his €34 million (R572 million) move from Atletico Madrid in 2015, and left the club in January to join Turkish side Basaksehir on a long-term loan.
However, his loan stint is not going well – he has not made a single appearance in this campaign after being handed a 16-game suspension back in May.
Things have now gone from bad to worse for Turan after he was involved in a nightclub brawl in his native country.
According to reports in Turkish media and as cited by AS, Turan was involved in a fight with Turkish singer Berkay in a nightclub in Istanbul, with the latter reportedly suffering a broken nose in the altercation and having to be taken to a hospital.
This is not the first time Turan has made negative headlines while on loan at Basaksehir – the 16-game suspension he is still completing is a result of the player threatening a match official following a sending-off, when he shouted that the referee should be killed.
Turan made 55 appearances for Barcelona, but it seems there will be no way back to the Spanish club for him.
