Reports: FC Barcelona Happy To Part Ways With Star At Reduced Fee

Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly willing to sell an out-of-favour star for a reduced fee in this transfer window.

'Why I Chose Real Over Barca'

According to El Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club is looking to part ways with Portugal international Andre Gomes in the coming weeks.

It has been suggested that the 2017/18 LaLiga champions are happy to let the midfielder go for as little as €22 million (R347 million), despite having spent €55 million (R868 million) on him in 2016.

The former Valencia star has admitted that he has "gone through a bit of a hell" since joining the Blaugrana, and has struggled to deal with the constant scrutiny he has come under at the club.

Gomes, who has been linked with the likes of West Ham United and Juventus in the past, was snubbed for Portugal's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, largely down to his poor performances in the little game time he has received at Barca.

The 24-year-old made 31 appearances for the Spanish giants last season, but only played a total of 1 185 minutes of football.
