According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Arthur from Gremio.
It has been suggested that the two clubs are set to meet to discuss and finalise the proposed move before 31 January.
The Spanish side is hoping they can land the 21-year-old's signature for €25 million (R368 million), but many believe Gremio will insist on a heavier payment.
If a deal is agreed, we could see Arthur spend the rest of the season with his current club in a bid to help them retain the Copa Libertadores.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ernesto Valverde's side has beaten the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea to the youngster's signature.
Arthur made 40 appearances for Gremio last season, scoring one goal and assisting one further strike.
