Reports: Barcelona Monitoring Shock English Championship Star
Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly linked with a shock player from the English Championship, who has been in terrific form this season.
According to the Daily Mail, the Catalan club is keeping a close eye on Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon.
The 17-year-old has been in sensational form for the Championship club this campaign, and has played in several positions, although he started the season as a left-back.
The player was even nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, alongside established names such as Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Ederson.
Sessegnon has represented England at every level bar the senior team, and is also said to have been tracked by the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City.
The teenager has scored 14 goals and assisted a further six strikes in 43 league matches for the Cottagers so far this season.
The Blaugrana may perhaps see the left-footer has a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba, while there have also been reports they could be looking to sell back-up left-back Lucas Digne.
Sessegnon was named the Championship Player of the Season at the EFL Awards recently, and also won the Young Player of the Season and the Championship Apprentice of the Year awards.
