FC Barcelona transfer target Antoine Griezmann has reportedly made a massive decision regarding his future, amid rumours the Atletico Madrid man could soon team up with superstar Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.
According to Canal+ France, the Frenchman will reportedly announce this week that he is going to stay at Atletico instead of joining LaLiga rivals Barca.
The Catalan giants have been heavily linked with the 27-year-old over the past few months, but it has now been claimed that Los Rojiblancos have done enough to persuade him to stay.
It is believed that Griezmann will accept a deal that will make him the club's highest-paid player following a massive campaign by manager Diego Simeone and the rest of the staff urging him to stay.
Atletico are also reportedly close to signing Monaco winger Thomas Lemar to keep Griezmann happy, following his concerns with the all-round quality of the squad.
The forward recently stated that he will announce his future plans this week, so it is yet to be confirmed whether or not the abovementioned will prove true.
However, at a France press conference on Tuesday afternoon, he declined to give an update on his future intentions.
Griezmann has scored 112 goals and assisted a further 40 strikes in 209 games for Atletico since his arrival at the Vicente Calderon in 2014.
