Samuel Umtiti has battled with injury at Barca this season, which has forced centre-back Clement Lenglet to get far more first-team football than he was perhaps expecting.
As a result of Umtiti's injuries, Gerard Pique has had to team up with a player who only joined Barca at the beginning of the season, which has made for hard work.
The only other established central defender manager Ernesto Valverde has at his disposal is Thomas Vermaelen, who has also struggled with his fitness in this campaign.
As a result, the Blaugrana are now said to be looking at various options to add strength to their backline, with a report claiming that veterans such as Branislav Ivanovic, Benedikt Howedes, Jose Fonte and Adil Rami are on the club's radar.
There are also a few younger faces on the list, such as Unai Nunez, Dayot Upamecano and Andreas Christensen.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is also an option as his current deal in London expires at the end of this campaign – to see all the reported names on the list, click through the gallery above!
Barca have kept just three clean sheets in LaLiga, and just six across all competitions, so far this season.
