A Real Madrid star, who is apparently refusing to train with the first-team squad, is reportedly on the verge of joining Premier League outfit Chelsea "in the next few hours".
Real Madrid Star Refusing To Train With Squad
According to Spanish publication Marca, Croatia international Mateo Kovacic is close to agreeing to terms with the Blues, which will see him move to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan.
The former Inter Milan star has reportedly been training on his own since his return from holiday – the midfielder had an extended break due to his participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The deal, which is not yet finalised, is said to please all three parties as the 24-year-old is guaranteed regular game time, Chelsea will have another option for their midfield and Real do not permanently lose out on a player they still rate highly.
It is believed the agreement between Los Blancos and Chelsea will be announced in the next few hours, and Kovacic is expected to arrive in England this evening.

The central midfielder has made 109 appearances for the Spanish giants since making the move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015, scoring three goals and assisting a further eight strikes.
