LaLiga giants FC Barcelona have reportedly rejected an emphatic bid of £137million for their African-born wonderkid Ansu Fati.
The Catalan giants officially promoted Fati to the first team this week after a breaking out in the 2019/2020.
According to Marca, the 17-year-old's agent Jorge Mendes informed Barcelona that a club was ready to submit an offer of £114million plus £23m in add-ons.
However, the report claims that the Catalan giants have no intension of selling the winger who now has a release clause of €400million.
While the potential suitors have not been named, there have been various reports claiming Manchester United are interested in the Spain international.
Former Barcelona star Rivaldo was delighted to see the club tie down Fati to a new deal amid interest from other clubs.
“Ansu Fati extended his contract with Barcelona this week and has now a release clause of €400m, so, of course, the young Spanish player is part of the club's future," he told Betfair.
“It makes sense because Barca need to develop players who can take responsibility on the pitch and make the difference in big games.
“His big clause means that Barca have high hopes for Fati to become one of the great players in their history.
“They'll be hoping that one day he can be compared to Messi and other great players who were brilliant at Barcelona.”
