The Catalans have brought in Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay and Emerson Royal for the 2021/2022 season, although the three of aforementioned players were free transfers.
The club have been trying their best to offload players in the current transfer window to lower their wage bill as they need to register their new signings.
LaLiga's structures already meant that the club were unable to re-sign Lionel Messi, who has since joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
However, Spanish publication Sport claim that Emerson is the only new signing to be registered with LaLiga and is eligible to feature against Real Sociedad on Sunday night.
The report claims that the Brazilian full-back was able to get registered as his move to Barcelona from Real Betis was classified differently as the club had already owned half of the player's ownership rights.
That means Depay, who has impressed in pre-season, is not likely to feature this Sunday while Aguero (injured) and Garcia (holiday) weren't expected to feature anyway.
