Los Blancos have made four signings for the new season already, announcing the arrivals of Brazilian wonderkids Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, who will reportedly only join the team after turning 18 in January, as well as goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
On Wednesday, Spain right-back Alvaro Odriozola completed his €30 million (R465 million) move from Real Sociedad to Real and was given the No. 19 shirt after passing a medical.
"Dear Odriozola, thank you for choosing and coming to Real Madrid. You come from a great club, a club where you have learned to grow as a player and as a person," club president Florentino Perez said, as quoted on Real's official website.
Odriozola, meanwhile, said the move to Madrid is the next step in a movie script-like career.
"Thank you very much for your words, president. It is an honour to be here and fulfil the dream of every footballer, to be signed by Real Madrid," he said at his unveiling.
"The only thing I can promise is that I'm going to give everything to make our paths successful. This shirt means winning.
"The last year and a half for me has been a movie script. I debuted in the second division and became starter with Real Sociedad, part of the World Cup with Spain.
"I fulfil the dream of wearing the greatest shirt in the world and I will not let this opportunity pass by."
Odriozola, who was part of Spain's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, made 41 appearances for Real Sociedad last season, and will rival Dani Carvajal for the right-back position in Julen Lopetegui's squad.
