Real Madrid are reportedly considering making a move for their former player Sergio Reguilon, who has impressed at Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The fullback left the Santiago Bernabeu to join the north London outfit in September last year, although the Spanish outfit did include a buy-back clause in the deal.
Reguilon has become an integral part of Jose Mourinho's squad this season, having notched up 13 appearances in his debut Premier League campaign so far.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Los Blancos are now thinking of activating the 24-year-old's €45 million (R828 million) release clause.
It is believed the Spanish giants' hierarchy has identified the left-back position as problem in the squad.
Marcelo and Ferland Mendy are the senior left-backs at the club, but many feel neither has been up to standard when called upon by Zinedine Zidane this season.
Reguilon came through Los Blancos' youth academy and made his first-team debut in the UEFA Champions League three years ago.
