Spanish giants Real Madrid rejected two offers worth up to €150 million (R2.18 billion) for one of their star players this season, according to the footballer's agent.
Spain international Marco Asensio, whose current deal with Los Blancos only expires in 2023, started just 19 LaLiga games in this campaign, but his performances were good enough to see him being included in his country's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad.
The forward's agent, Horacio Gaggioli, has now claimed that his client has received some massive offers from other clubs, but the 22-year-old's current employers have rejected them.
"Madrid have received two offers for Marco Asensio, up to €150 million, but the club rejected them," he told Cadena SER.
"He has an extraordinary future."
Gaggioli was then asked if the offers had come from clubs in the Premier League.
"You can imagine that they come from England because they can afford it without any problems," the agent answered.
"They could even raise it."
Asensio joined Real from Mallorca in 2014, but only really broke into the first team squad in the past two seasons.
