Despite Real Madrid's manager playing down Isco's exclusion from his squad for their UEFA Champions League clash at Roma on Tuesday, it has now been reported that there is more to the story.
Real Boss: Why I Left Isco Out Of Squad
It was reported a few weeks ago that new Real boss Santiago Solari was unimpressed with Isco's fitness levels, which led to the Spaniard spending a lot of time on the bench.
On Tuesday night, when Roma hosted Los Blancos for a UCL tie, Isco was not named in Real's final matchday squad, with Solari insisting after the game that his decision was based purely on sporting reasons.
According to COPE, however, the Argentine tactician left the 26-year-old out of his selection because the player had shown him a lack of respect after their 3-0 loss to Eibar at the weekend.
Isco featured for just 27 minutes against the LaLiga minnows, which resulted in a reported clash between the midfielder and manager after the encounter.
The Spain international has not started a single match since Solari took over from Julen Lopetegui, under whom Isco was a favourite.
It is believed that, because of their fallout at Eibar, Solari wanted to leave Isco in Madrid, but decided to let him travel with the squad to avoid being asked questions about the situation with Isco in his pre-match press conference.

With the player having been linked with a move away from Real in recent weeks, an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu now seems likely.
