With Real Madrid being linked with many superstar names since Zinedine Zidane's return to the club, new reports suggest that Los Blancos have, somewhat surprisingly, added a Premier League starlet to their wish list.
Zidane has been tasked with a revamp of an ageing squad, and the likes of Sadio Mane, Eden Hazard, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba have all been named as potential transfer targets for the Spanish giants.
Now, according to former West Ham United scout Scott Minto, Real are interested in Hammers defensive midfielder Declan Rice.
"I'm hearing that even Real Madrid are knocking on the door and speaking to his family," he said, as quoted by The Sun.
When pressed on his sources, Minto said: "I'm not going to say. But it's a reliable source."
It remains to be seen how serious Real are about the 20-year-old, who has already made 67 appearances for West Ham's senior side.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the player, with reports suggesting he is valued at £40 million (R733 million).
"West Ham, I'm sure, know about the potential he has. Man United will be knocking on the door," Minto added.
"The big boys of the Premier League and world football will be saying this is a young lad at a club that could sell for the right price.
"He could become one of the stars in that particular position."
