Real Betis veteran winger Joaquin fired a dig at Ronald Koeman earlier this week, and the Barcelona manager has responded ahead of Saturday's clash.
The pair worked together at Valencia during Koeman's short spell that lasted five months in 2008.
Valencia finished 15th under Koeman that season, but also walked away with the Copa del Rey title.
Football Espana claim that Joaquin was one of the players who did not see eye-to-eye with the Dutch tactician at the Mestall.
When asked if he would appoint Koeman at Betis this week, Joaquin told El Larguero, “Not even as a kitman!
“I did not have a good experience with him, although I have moved on – it was not something that lasted long and we managed to save the season.
“Look, on Saturday he will not say hello to me and I will not say hello to him, that’s that.”
Koeman responded on Friday afternoon, but was not bothered by the Spaniard's words.
“I understand that it is an interesting topic for us, but I do not want to get into it,” Koeman was quoted as saying by Marca.
“If he wants to talk more, that is his problem. I am involved in the game and I do not enter into individual things or things from the past. We know that he speaks well.”
