It has been claimed that Paris Saint-Germain attempted to lure Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid with a contract offer worth four times more than his deal in Spain.
Confirming his future recently on Bem, Amigos! of SporTV, the 21-year-old Brazilian winger said he would be staying "at the biggest club in the world" amid rumours the French giants had been circling for his signature.
Although his talent was clear upon his arrival at Real, his stock has risen dramatically following his incredible individual 2021/22 campaign, in which he scored 22 goals and assisted a further 20 strikes for Los Blancos.
As a result, the Ligue 1 champions are believed to have been in contact with Vinicius' camp and made an offer that would have seen him earn £34.3 million (R670 million) a year in Paris.
This, according to Marca, is said to be four times more than the new five-year deal he has reportedly accepted in Spain, which will be finalised and announced in July.
With his current contract running out in 2024 and with PSG interested in him, Real were forced to move fast so as to tie the former Flamengo prodigy down.
Since signing for the Spanish side in 2018, Vinicius has made 170 appearances across all competitions and contributed to 79 goals.
