The Uruguayan scored the only goal of the game in Barca’s 1-0 win at the Camp Nou in Copa del Rey, finding the back of the net with a clever header in the 67th minute.
The striker was battling all night with Brazilian centre back Gabriel Paulista, who revealed that Suarez used a derogatory term against him in an argument they had in the second half.
"These are matters for the pitch," he said, according to Marca.
"He told me that I was a cagon, and I told him that he was a good player, that he was the best No. 9 in the world.
"But that stays on the pitch, now we forget it and that's it."
Valencia will host the Catalan club in the second leg of the semi-final next week Thursday.
