The Catalan giants announced their signing of Arturo Vidal on Friday, with reports suggesting the deal is worth about €20 million (R310 million).
The 31-year-old passed a medical on Monday, and was then officially unveiled by the club after signing a three-year contract.
"I am very happy to arrive in Barcelona," Vidal said at his unveiling, as quoted by the club's official Twitter account.
Vidal became Barcelona's fourth signing of the window after Arthur, Malcom and Clement Lenglet had been added to the first team squad, while Senegal right-back Moussa Wague was initially registered with the club's reserve team.
The Chile international left Bayern Munich after three years with the German giants, during which he made 124 appearances, scoring 22 goals and assisting another 18 strikes.
