Spanish giants FC Barcelona have officially confirmed the signing of a young English striker who is considered one of the most promising stars in Europe.
The Blaugrana announced the arrival of 16-year-old forward Louie Barry from West Bromwich Albion via their official Twitter account on Thursday.
The English starlet will join up with Barca's U19 A side, where he will hope to improve and impress.
"He turned 16 years old on 21 June and is an international with the English U16 team, for whom he has played nine games and scored seven goals," a statement on the club's official website read.
"Next season he will be part of Barca's U19 squad. He plays at centre-forward, although he can also play on the right wing, and has signed from West Bromwich Albion, his club since he was six years old."
