African-born wonderkid Ansu Fati has officially become a FC Barcelona first team player, with the club inserting a €400million clause in his new deal.
The 17-year-old broke on to the scene in the 2019/2020 season and has now officially been handed a first team spot, with the winger set to take on the number 22 jersey.
There were reports of Manchester United trying to secure the services of Fati, but it seems the Catalan giants have tied down their starlet.
Ansu Fati has become an official member of the FC Barcelona first team. The 17-year-old, who was already training and playing with the senior squad since the beginning of last season, will wear number 22, and his buyout clause has been raised from 170 million to 400 million euros, as already announced following the review of his contract in December.
That is the same number 22 that Arturo Vidal has been wearing for the last two seasons. Previous incumbents have included Reiziger, Frank de Boer, Luis García, Saviola, Abidal and Dani Alves.
