Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has finally broken his silence on speculation linking him with LaLiga giants FC Barcelona.
The Egyptian forward has long been linked with the Catalan outfit in recent years as he continues to shine in front of goal for the Reds.
There is also the matter of Salah's contract, which is set to expire in June 2023, but the club are in talks with the player regarding a new deal.
The 29-year-old has now admitted he is flattered by the links with Xavi Hernandez's side, but is happy with the Merseyside outfit.
"I read what was said about Xavi's interest to sign me," the Premier League's Golden boot leader told Egyptian broadcaster MBC.
"This is something that makes me happy that a team like Barcelona is interested in me, but I'm happy in Liverpool and we will see what happens in the future.
"At the moment, I prefer to stay in the Premier League as it's the strongest league in the world."
