LaLiga president Javier Tebas, who is a Real Madrid supporter, has spoken about the possibility of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Los Blancos following his reported fallout with the club's board.
It has been suggested that Ronaldo could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu after the comments he made on the night of Real's latest UEFA Champions League final triumph.
The Portuguese hinted that he is unhappy at the club, with later reports speculating that this is because he has not received the bumper deal at Real he was reportedly promised during the past campaign.
However, the Spanish top flight's president feels the league would recover from the loss of Ronaldo, although he does not want to see the 33-year-old go.
"It concerns me that Cristiano could leave Real Madrid because he's one of the stars of the league and I'd like him to be in it," Tebas told Sport.
"But we can overcome (Cristiano's exit) because LaLiga is more important than any club or player."
Ronaldo scored 44 goals and assisted a further eight strikes in 44 matches for Real in the 2017/18 campaign.
