Out-of-favour Real Madrid star Isco has revealed his delight at the return of coach Zinedine Zidane to the LaLiga giants, claiming that 'it's good news for everyone".
Zidane was unveiled as Los Blancos coach in the week, becoming the club's third coach of the 2018/19 campaign, after Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari.
Isco, who has endured a fall from grace this season, has featured in 26 encounters, mostly as a substitute in all competitions for the Spanish giants thus far this season.
The four-time UEFA Champions League-winning midfielder expressed his delight at Zidane's return, suggesting that the Frenchman is the ideal candidate to help turn Real's fortunes around.
"LaLiga Santander is very difficult, but we will try to add all the points we can," he told Marca.
"The change starts now, and we need the fans at our side. There are maximum demands on this team and we have to fight for all the titles.
"It has not been our best year, but from now on we work to be where the club's history deserves, which forces us to come back stronger.
"Isco went on to express his approval of Zidane's return to the club.
"We all know him and we know what he was like as a player and as a coach," he added.
"It's good news for everyone that he has returned, as he loves Real Madrid and he has shown it with this decision."
Isco has been linked with an exit from Real due to a lack of game-time, however, the 26-year-old’s fortunes might have changed following the return of Zidane at the club.
