Bale's Agent Slams Real Fans

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale's agent has launched a scathing attack on supporters of the LaLiga giants, brandishing them as "nothing short of a disgrace" for their treatment of the club's record signing.

Four-time UEFA Champions League winner Bale's future with the LaLiga giants appears to be up in the air, with the Welshman being booed off by his own supporters in Los Blancos' 1-0 El Clasico loss to rivals FC Barcelona on Saturday.

The 29-year-old has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at the club since the arrival of Santiago Solari, and is reportedly poised for an exit following a trophy-laden stay.

With Premier League teams Chelsea and Manchester United said to be monitoring the attacker's situation, Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has now launched a scathing attack on Real supporters for their apparent lack of respect for the Wales international.

"This generation of Real fans will be talking about Gareth's goals for years to come. Frankly, they should be ashamed of themselves," he told Sky Sports

"Gareth deserves the greatest of respect. The way the Real fans have treated Gareth is nothing short of a disgrace.

"In the six years he has been in Spain, he has won everything. He's one of the best players in the world. Those fans should be kissing his feet.

"Despite what the Spanish press are reporting, he's happy, he speaks reasonable Spanish, and there is no problem between him and the rest of the Real players. The people writing these things know nothing about him.

"There has not been one single discussion about Gareth leaving Madrid. He isn't going anywhere this summer. Despite what's been reported, he's content, he wants to stay at Real, and they want him."
