Former Premier League Flop Sets New LaLiga Record
A former Premier League flop has set a new LaLiga record after helping FC Barcelona beat Eibar 2-0 at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Saturday.
Brazil international Paulinho has become the first player to play 23 games in the Spanish top flight without losing, according to Cadena Cope.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Blaugrana at the beginning of the season, has featured 18 wins and five draws since his arrival at the Camp Nou.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has impressed since his arrival from Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande, and the player has also become a regular starter for his national team in recent months.
Paulinho, who cost Barcelona £35 million (R572 million), has scored eight goals and assisted two further strikes so far in LaLiga this season.
