Although it has been claimed that Real Madrid are going to spend big money in this transfer window, five Los Blancos stars have been linked with moves away from the club, including a player who was once the most expensive footballer in the world.

Since Zinedine Zidane's arrival in the club's hot seat, Los Blancos have not made any big-name signings, which leads many to believe that it is only a matter of time before the Frenchman brings in a "Galactico" or two.

Following Real's third-place finish in LaLiga this season, reports suggest that this might be the transfer window when Zidane makes massive changes to his team.

French striker Karim Benzema is one of those players whose futures seem uncertain, especially after the underwhelming season he has had. In March, the Daily Express reported that the forward was an Arsenal target.

The 30-year-old has scored just 11 goals across all competitions for Real this season, and might need to be replaced if Real are to challenge across all formats in the 2018/19 campaign.

Los Blancos' reported interest in goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois, David de Gea and Gianluigi Donnarumma means Keylor Navas' spot in the team is not secure.

The Costa Rican almost joined Manchester United in 2015, while there have been many other clubs interested in his signature over past few years.

Midfielder Dani Ceballos is another player who could make way over the next two months, with clubs such as Liverpool and Real Betis – his previous club – showing interest.

English media have claimed Welsh attacker Gareth Bale could be on his way back to the Premier League next season.

Jose Mourinho's Red Devils have been tipped as the favourites to sign the 28-year-old, but a move back to Tottenham Hotspur might also be tempting.

Germany midfielder Toni Kroos could also potentially leave Real ahead of the next campaign. The deep-lying playmaker has been linked with Manchester City and United in recent seasons, and may be tempted to try a new challenge considering he has won every trophy possible at Real.
