The Catalan giants are said to have been interested in luring Bayern Munich star David Alaba to Spain for some time now, with there being speculation the club could make another push for him at the end of the season.

It is believed that Real are also after the versatile Austrian, who can play at left back, left wing, in central midfield and at centre back.

According to Diario Gol, the 25-year-old would rather join Los Blancos instead of their rivals Blaugrana as he would prefer to play alongside Ronaldo.

Real president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen to get the deal over the line ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Alaba has been in top form for Bayern this season, scoring one goal and assisting a further six strikes in 32 matches across all competitions.
