The Blaugrana have always prided themselves on developing talented footballers, with current first-team stars such as Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Carles Perez having all come through the club's famous La Masia academy.
For the past two years, Riqui Puig has been discussed as the next best thing to come out of the club's academy, but his playing time was limited under former manager Ernesto Valverde.
However, one of Setien's first moves upon his arrival at the club was to call the 20-year-old up to train with the senior team, and he wasted no time in giving the midfielder his first few minutes of the season.
The player, who has been likened to the likes of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, played 19 minutes from the bench in Barca's 1-0 win over Granada in LaLiga on Sunday night, and even played a role in the game's only goal.
"I was always happy, especially if I played football," Puig told Barca TV.
"Setien likes to play football and we're very happy.
"He told me to be daring, not to lose possession and to press high.
"I will keep training like I do every year. If they tell me that I have to go back to Barcelona B, I will do it and continue playing like I have until now."
Puig has now made four appearances for Barca's senior side since his debut last season.
