After one of FC Barcelona's first-team stars recently suggested he could quit the club if he does not get more playing time, another Blaugrana player has addressed his own situation, having not been a regular starter this season.
In a recent interview, Manchester United-linked Arturo Vidal said he would look for solutions if he does not get more minutes with the Spanish giants this season.
His teammate, Ivan Rakitic, now appears to have echoed that sentiment.
"I do not understand the situation because I want to play," he said, according to Marca.
"If I can play, there is no better place than Barca.
"I want to enjoy every day, and if it can be here, much better.
"I said that the ball had been taken from me to imply how much I like football.
"But if I can play, there is no better place than Barca. What I want to do is enjoy, doing my best because I still have a lot to give.
"I have the confidence of my teammates and if the coach puts me in, I understand that it will also be like that."
Rakitic played a full game in Barca's 1-0 away win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday night, following up a solid 78 minutes against Borussia Dortmund in midweek.
Do you think Rakitic is still good enough to be a regular starter at Barca? Let us know in the comments section below.
