Spanish giants FC Barcelona have already signed one player ahead of the 2018/19 season, but has a second acquisition of theirs now been revealed?
According to Sport, Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet will soon become the Catalan club's second signing of the transfer window.
It has been claimed that Barca have activated the Frenchman's €35 million (R553 million) release clause after Sevilla refused to negotiate with the Blaugrana.
The Spanish giants were reportedly hoping to pay the fee in instalments, but Sevilla have apparently made it clear they would not enter into talks with Barca.
It is believed that Lenglet is currently in pre-season training with Pablo Machin's Sevilla, but will leave their camp and travel to Barca soon, where he will be presented as their new signing, according to Sport.
The Catalans recently announced the arrival of young Brazil midfielder Arthur from Gremio, while Lenglet will reportedly be presented on Friday.
The 23-year-old defender has played 73 times for Sevilla's first team, and has represented France at every level except for the senior side.
