While FC Barcelona remain desperate to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan, the Spanish giants' first signing for the 2020/21 campaign has now seemingly been revealed.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Catalan giants are closing in on a move for Sao Paulo youngster Gustavo Maia.
His agent Danilo Silva was recently speaking about his client's future when he said he believes the LaLiga champions will exercise their option to buy the 19-year-old.
"We are sure Barcelona will complete the option to buy," he told Globo Esporte.
"There was a sign from the club and on Monday he started Spanish classes to prepare."

Barca have reportedly already paid €1 million (R19 million) to have the option to sign Maia, and will have to pay an extra €4 million (R76 million) to complete the deal.
The teenager currently represents Sao Paulo's B side, and is yet to make a senior appearance for the famous Brazilian club.
It is therefore unknown as to where Maia would fit in at the Blaugrana, although first-team boss Quique Setien is known for placing his trust in youth.
