Lionel Messi played a starring role once again as FC Barcelona moved up to second spot in LaLiga with a 2-0 victory over Sevilla on Saturday night.
Ousmane Dembele, Clement Lenglet, Sergino Dest and Sergio Busquets were recalled to the Calatans line-up, as Trincao, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite dropped to the bench. Meanwhile, Miralem Pjanic missed out through injury.
With the game getting off to a slow start, the visitors carved out the first chance on 22 minutes as Dembele let rip with a fierce strike that forced Yassine Bounou into a good save.
Dembele would not be denied five minutes later as the Frenchman latched onto Messi's pass before slotting through Bounou's legs from close range to hand his side the lead.
Sevilla, meanwhile, had no answer for the Catalan giants in the first half and they were lucky to not to be two goals down on 40 minutes when Dest went agonisingly close with a powerful strike that sailed just over the crossbar.

After a disappointing first half, Julen Lopetegui responded with a triple change at the start of the second, with Youssef En Nesyri, Suso and Karim Rekik brought on to change the dynamic.
However, it was the visitors who nearly bagged the second goal on the hour mark when Dest saw his effort crash against the upright with Bounou well-beaten.
Barcelona had the ball in the back of the net with 20 minutes left on the clock through Lenglet, but the strike was disallowed for offside by the Frenchman.
After Sevilla had a goal disallowed, Messi wrapped up the contest in the 85th minute with a simple finish into an empty net after initially being denied by Bounou.
