After Xavi Hernandez left Dani Alves out of Barcelona's European squad, how the Brazilian feels about his manager's decision seems to have been revealed.
The Brazilian returned to the Catalan club late last year as a free agent, having previously represented the Blaugrana between 2008 and 2016, during which he celebrated numerous silverware.
He was one of four players added to Barcelona's squad in January, with new signings Adama Traore, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres also welcomed by Xavi.
Due to registration limits for Europe, it was decided by the Spanish tactician that Alves would not be picked for their UEFA Europa League squad for the rest of the campaign in favour of the team's other three January arrivals.
It is suggested that Xavi believes it makes sense to leave the 38-year-old out as he has sufficient cover at right-back, but according to Spanish publication Sport, the former Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain man does not understand his manager's call and has not taken it well.
Alves has made four appearances for the LaLiga giants since making his second debut for the club last month, assisting two goals in the process.
