A shock report has suggested there is still a way for Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Real Madrid, for whom he is the all-time leading goalscorer, in this transfer window.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the 36-year-old wants to leave Juventus ahead of the coming season, despite reports suggesting otherwise.
Paris Saint-Germain and Los Blancos have been discussed as the only two options for Ronaldo, who is believed to feel that his time in Italy is over.
The French giants, though, would only become a strong possibility for the Portugal captain if Kylian Mbappe left in this window, with the 22-year-old striker heavily linked with the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners.
If that does not happen, however, it could leave Ronaldo with a chance to return to Los Blancos, where he would reunite with Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he has an excellent relationship.
It is suggested that Ancelotti's return to Real has changed the situation for Ronaldo, who previously would not have been interested in going back to the club he spent nine years at between 2009 and 2018.
The veteran forward is the Spanish club's all-time leading goalscorer with 450 strikes in 438 matches.
