Result: Real Madrid 6-1  Melilla (Real won 10-1 on agg.)

Date: 06 December 2018

Venue: Santiago Bernabeu

Real Madrid cruised to the Last 16 of the Copa del Rey after thumping Melilla 6-1 in the second leg of their round of 32 encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos already had one foot in the next round of the competition after securing a 4-0 win in the first leg last month.

The first-leg win allowed Santiago Solari to rest key players, as Isco returned to the starting line-up along with Vinicius Junior and Mariano Diaz.

Keylor Navas, who also earned a re-call to the side, was called into action after 12 minutes to keep out Garcia's low effort from close range.

The deadlock was eventually broken on 35 minutes as Marcos Asensio drove into the Melilla box before burying the ball into the bottom corner.

Asensio completed his brace and doubled Los Blancos' lead two minutes later with a low finish after being picked out by Vinicius.

The third goal arrived shortly before the halftime break as Asensio turned provider to play in Javi Sanchez, who made no mistake from close range.

Los Blancos picked up from where they left off in the first half, as Isco got on the score-sheet with an impressive strike three minutes into stanza.

Similarly to the first leg, it was one-way traffic and the home side bagged a fifth goal in the 76th minute through Vinicius, who skipped past a couple challenges firing home close range.

The visitors did manage to pull a goal back with nine minutes remaining in the half, with Qasmi converting a penalty for their only goal of the tie.

However, Isco rounded off the scoring two minutes later, completing his brace with a clinical finish to make it 6-1 on the night and 10-1 on aggregate.
