Brazilian teenage sensation Vinicius Junior hobbled off in the first half of his side's 4-1 defeat to Ajax on Tuesday night.
The 18-year-old, who joined Los Blancos in a move worth €45 million (R720 million) from Brazilian outfit Flamengo, was seen crying after being substituted off at the Santiago Bernabeu, and the LaLiga giants have since released details about his injury.
"After the tests made today to our player Vinicius Junior by the medical services of Real Madrid, the player has been diagnosed with a torn ligament of the tibiofibular joint of the right leg," a statement on the club's official website read.

Vinicius has been a rare ray of light for Real in what has been an underwhelming 2018/19 campaign for them, and has made 33 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net on seven occasions and being on hand to assist a further 13 strikes.
