LaLiga giants FC Barcelona have once again flexed their muscle in the transfer window by splashing out €75 million for a midfielder who was linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalan giants have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam to sign midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutch international will only join the Spanish giants at the end of the season after signing a five-year deal.
A statement from the club read,"FC Barcelona and Ajax have reached an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who will be joining the Catalan club from 1 July 2019.
The cost of the transfer operation is 75 million euros, plus a further 11 million in variables. The player will be signing a contract for the next five seasons, through to 2023/24."
De Jong becomes Barcelona's fifth-most expensive signing in history.
