Barca's financial struggles have been well publicised since Lionel Messi's departure at the start of last season and have continued to plague them, but it now seems, after the sale of the club's image rights as well as a minority share of their merchandising division, there is growing optimism the club could make a splash in the transfer market.

The Blaugrana are reportedly keen to bring in three marquee signings during the off-season as they look to challenge on all fronts following a relatively unsuccessful 2021/22 campaign.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants want to secure the blockbuster signings of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde and Bernardo Silva.

Lewandowski is entering the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich, and has made it known he will not be extending his deal with the Bundesliga champions.

Barca have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Poland captain, and are now in negotiations over a transfer fee for the forward's services.

It has been claimed that €50 million (R840 million) would be enough to tempt Bayern to sell, but the Bundesliga club seem to be putting up a fight to keep their star man for one last campaign.

Sevilla, meanwhile, seem to not be as stubborn as the German champions, and are willing to let Kounde go should their valuation of the Frenchman be met.

The five-time European champions might have to engage in a bidding war with Chelsea for the central defender, though, with the English side having reportedly made their interest in the player known.

Kounde could be set to replace Barca icon Gerard Pique as a regular starter in the Catalans' backline.

As for the Blaugrana's pursuit of Silva, the Portuguese playmaker is reportedly keen to make his way to the Camp Nou, but it is believed his arrival will hinge on whether or not Frenkie de Jong leaves the club.

For Barca to be able to afford City's €100 million (R1.6 billion) asking price, they will have to sell their Dutch midfielder.
