Barcelona have strengthened their attack with yet another forward signing from the Premier League in this transfer window.
Aubameyang Breaks Silence After Arsenal Exit
Barca have completed the signing of Gabonese hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal on a three and a half year deal.
Aubameyang is the third Premier League attacker signed by Xavi Hernandez in this window, with the Blaugrana having already secured the services of Ferran Torres from Manchester City for a reported fee of €55 million (R955 million) and Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers, also on a loan deal.
The 32-year-old leaves the Emirates Stadium having been ostracised from the first team following a series of disciplinary breaches that led to him being stripped of the Arsenal captaincy.
The Gabon striker is also understood to be taking a drastic pay cut of his salary of £350 000 (R7.3 million) a week to play at the Camp Nou.
Since he arrived in north London, Aubameyang has scored 92 goals and assisted 21 strikes in 163 appearances, and Barca will now be hoping he can replicate that form in order to increase their chances of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League.
