The Frenchman hit peak form for his side this week, having scored a hat-trick against Sevilla on Sunday and a further four goals against Leganes in a 4-0 win on Wednesday night.
Griezmann's stellar displays have come just before Atletico's all-important league encounter at Barca on Sunday, a match he will be hoping to impress in as the Catalans have been tipped as his future employers.
The France international has come under some scrutiny of late, with fans unhappy with a recent gesture he made on the field, seemingly telling his own club's supporters to be quiet – many were upset with the player when he slowed down play against Valencia in the beginning of February, to which Griezmann responded by putting his finger over his lips.
After scoring four times in a rout that saw him bring up a century of strikes for Atletico on Wednesday, the 26-year-old admitted the "shushing" gesture was something he wishes he had not done.
"You have to enjoy it, I'm trying to give people joy," Griezmann told beIN SPORTS.
"I could have made a mistake, but in the field I've never been wrong, I'm very happy and we're going to continue like this."
When asked to elaborate, Griezmann touched on his recent gesture.
"In everything I have been able to say and in telling the fans to be quiet, but I hope to have your love until the end," he added.
Griezmann, who has reportedly reached an agreement with Barca to join them next season, has scored 20 goals and assisted a further 10 strikes in 33 games for the Rojiblancos so far this season.
