An African star who joined FC Barcelona after impressing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup has now commented on his progress at the club.
Senegal right-back Moussa Wague signed for Barca's reserve team at the beginning of the season, with reports suggesting he was bought with the intention of eventually being promoted to the first side.
After initially struggling with an injury, the 20-year-old has now returned to full fitness, and says he is getting closer to achieving his targets.
"Since I was little, I dreamed of playing at Barca," Wague told Cadena Ser.
"When I signed up, they told me I could play on the first team. I'll do everything to get there.
"I've adapted well to Barca's game. I've opened a door, I'm closer to getting it. I'm in a test season to prove I can play on the first team."
Wague made his debut for the Blaugrana's B team on 4 November, coming off the bench for 15 minutes before starting the team's next two matches.
Having stayed in Barcelona during the current international break, he has represented Senegal on 13 occasions so far.
