An African star who previously played for AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur has broken his silence on becoming the first ever Ghanaian to play for FC Barcelona following his shock move to the LaLiga giants.
On Monday night, the Catalan giants announced the arrival of attacking midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng from Serie A outfit Sassuolo on a loan deal, with an option to buy the 31-year-old, for the remainder of the 2018/2019 campaign.
This is the second loan deal Barcelona have managed to secure this month, following the arrival of Colombian defender Jeison Murillo from Valencia.
Boateng has since spoke of his delight at signing for the Blaugrana, stating that it is a "dream come true".
"I'm very happy. It's a big honour to be here and have the possibility to play for this great club," he told Barca TV.
"For every kid who starts to play football, I think it is a dream to play for a club like Barcelona, so for every player and especially for me it's a big dream come true."
Boateng netted four goals in 13 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo prior to sealing his move to Barcelona.
