Despite still being one of the best forwards around, 31-year-old Suarez recently stated that, considering his age, "it is normal" for the club to want to begin their hunt for a new No. 9, one who could possibly replace him in future.
The Daily Star has reported that one of the names Barca could be looking at is Liverpool and Brazil international Roberto Firmino, whose versatility, cleverness and skill makes him almost the perfect candidate.
Several publications have claimed that Mauro Icardi could be the Catalan giants' ideal No. 9 once Suarez moves on, although he was already on Barca's books as a youth player, and admitted to not properly fitting in at the time.
Another name being spoken about more and more is Genoa frontman Krzysztof Piatek, who has made a great start to life in Serie A – the Pole has scored nine times in 10 league matches so far.
Strikers such as Ajax Amsterdam's Kasper Dolberg and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner are also said to be on the LaLiga champions' wish list, while Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has also been linked with Barca – to see all the names, click through the gallery above!
