Poor form and injuries have seen Real supporters become concerned about their main striker, who has hit the back of the net only five times in 21 games across all competitions this season.
Football Italia recently linked Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi with the 12-time UEFA Champions League winners, although this is not the first time his name has been mentioned in the same sentence as Los Blancos'.
It is believed that Real have been monitoring the Argentine international for quite some time now, although it might require a massive transfer fee to take him away from Inter.
Premier League duo Eden Hazard and Harry Kane have also been spoken of as potential signings for Real, as has Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, whose relationship with Pep Guardiola is, at times, difficult to put a finger on.
Paris Saint-Germain hitman Edinson Cavani is another top talent that has been linked with Real, especially after his spats with Neymar, who has also reportedly been on the Spanish giants' radar.
If the Brazilian was to replace Benzema, it is likely that Cristiano Ronaldo would make the central forward role his own, with Neymar then starring on the left. PSG have, however, denied that the 25-year-old is considering a move to Spain.
Another two names that have been linked with Real are Robert Lewandowski and Paulo Dybala, but only time will tell if they make the move to the Spanish capital.
