The Blaugrana's financial situation is seemingly forcing them to offload some of their big earners in order to bring in new faces in the coming window.
According to El Confidencial, Ronald Koeman has put together a four-man list of players who are not in his plans, and also named four "untouchables" in his squad.
It will not surprise many that Lionel Messi is among the latter, with the club desperate to keep hold of their captain.
In addition, youngsters Ansu Fati, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, Pedri and Ilaix Moriba are also on the reported "untouchables" list.
Koeman is understood to be keen on bringing in Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay on free transfers.
However, the two stars can only be signed if Barca can free up their wage bill. As a consequence, they are said to be willing to let forward Antoine Griezmann go.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is understood to be the second-highest earner at the club, and Barca are currently "testing" the market for potential buyers for the player, who arrived at a cost of €125 million (R2.2 billion) from Atletico Madrid in 2019.
