Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is expecting a lot more from one of his misfiring stars in the coming weeks.
The under-fire manager has seen the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo struggle to find the back of the net in La Liga this season, seeing the team drop valuable points in the title race in the process.
Speaking ahead of Los Blancos' UEFA Champions League fixture against APOEL on Tuesday night, Zidane called on Benzema to end his dry spell in front of goal by giving everything he has against the European minnows.
"He (Benzema) is the first one who knows he can give more, because of the confidence issue, especially his confidence in front of goal," the Frenchman said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
"Strikers maybe need goals for confidence, but he's playing well, the team is playing well.
"When one goes in, more can follow. Let's hope (Tuesday) is the day to end the streak."
The 29-year-old has made 13 appearances for Los Blancos so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting a further two strikes.
