A depleted FC Barcelona welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Camp Nou this weekend, and will hope to return to winning ways in La Liga.
Teams: Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano
Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelona
Matches between these two sides often bring lots of goals, with Paco Jemez' team tending to play rather offensively against Barca instead of shutting the door like most clubs do against the Catalans.
The Blaugrana have won 22 out of 34 matches between the two teams, with most of Rayo's success coming in the early 2000s. The last meeting between them saw Barcelona run away as 6-1 winners on the night, with Lionel Messi scoring a hat-trick.
Barcelona have recorded nine wins in a row against Rayo, scoring 40 goals and only conceding two in those matches, and have scored at least three goals in eight of those games.
A plus for Rayo this weekend is that Luis Enrique's men have lost two of the three games in which they conceded the first goal in the league this term.
The Catalans have not conceded as many goals after seven games in La Liga as they have this season (nine) since the 2005/06 campaign (10).
In team news, Barcelona will be without Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Rafinha due to injury, while Rayo will be without Pablo Hernandez and the suspended Antonio Amaya.
This is how the teams will line up:
Barcelona: Bravo; Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Rakitic; Neymar, Sandro, Suarez
Rayo Vallecano: Toño, Nacho, Llorente, Zé, Rat, Jozabed, Trashorras, Lass, Bebé, Ebert, J.Guerra.
