David Moyes’ Real Sociedad grabbed a narrow victory over Sevilla, while Athletic Bilbao drew with Rayo and Villarreal beat Eibar in this weekend’s La Liga action
Imanol Agirretxe gave Sociedad the lead in the 16th minute, but Kolodziejczak equalized for Sevilla just before half time in a tight affair.
However, the game opened up in the second half with Xabi Prieto scoring from the penalty spot. Sevilla equalised and took the lead through Bacca and Gameiro goals. Then Arribas scored an own goal as Sociedad drew level and Xabi Prieto secure the three points with a 90th minute winner.
The win sees Moyes' side move into 11th, while Sevilla remain fifth, five points behind Valencia.
Meanwhile, Aritz Aduriz scored a late winner to hand Athletic a narrow 1-0 win over Rayo on Sunday night.
He struck the back of the net by getting his foot to a rebound after Alvarez fumbled in the box.
The win moves Athletic move to the 12th, while Rayo have fallen to 14th.
In the pm game on Sunday night, Lucas Vietto scored the only goal of the game to help his Villarreal team to a 1-0 win over Eibar.
