It was a busy Sunday in the Spanish La Liga with 13 goals scored across four games as Almeria, Athletic Club, Sevilla and Barcelona won their respective matches.
Almeria moved out of the relegation zone after a single goal from Edgar Mendez handed them a 1-0 win over Getafe at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.
Almeria moved up to 16th on the table on 19 points, one point outside of the relegation zone and one point behind 15th placed Getafe.
A brace from Aritz Aduriz saw Athletic Club beat bottom of the log Levante 2-0 at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
Athletic Club moved up to 11th on the table with 23 points, one point shy of a top of the table spot while Levante remain rooted to the basement in of La Liga with 16 points.
Sevilla moved up to fourth on the table with an impressive 3-2 win over Espanyol at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Espanyol took the lead in the 15th minute through penalty goal from Christhian Stuani, but Diogo Figueiras levelled matters for Sevilla ten minutes later.
Victor Vitolo then gave Sevilla the lead in the 35th minute before Víctor Sánchez equalised for Espanyol in the 77th minute.
Iago Aspas scored in the final minute of the match to hand Sevilla the win as they moved up to fourth on the table with 42 points, five points adrift of third placed Atletico Madrid while Espanyol dropped to ninth place with 26 points.
The final game on Sunday saw Barcelona came from behind twice to beat Villarreal at Camp Nou.
The win moves Barcelona to 47 points which is within one point of La Liga leaders Real Madrid while Villarreal sit in sixth place on 38 points.
