With plenty of La Liga action this weekend, find out which standout performers made our Team of the Week.
As always, our La Liga Team of the Week will be based on Opta stats and Whoscored ratings. This week’s team will line up in a 4-4-2 formation.
GK: Gorka Iraizoz – 8
The Athletic Bilboa shot-stopper played a big part in his side’s 2-0 victory over Levante. He made four saves in the game tp help the team keep a cleansheet.
RB: Michel Macedo – 7.5
The 24-year-old had a good weekend out with his Almeria teammates, as they recorded a 1-0 win over Getafe. Macedo worked up and down the right-hand side of the field all game and helped them keep a cleansheet.
CB: Sergio Ramos – 8.5
Ramos is this week’s highest ranked defender and helped side come from behind to beat Real Sociedad 4-1. The centre-back made four successful tackles in the match and capped of his performance with a goal.
CB: Andreu Fontás – 7.9
The 25-year-old helped Celta Vigo keep a cleansheet in their 1-0 win over Cordoba. He was extremely dominant in the air, winning six aerial duels and even registered two shots on goal.
LB: Marcelo – 8
The left-back is the second Real Madrid player to make the Team of the Week and assisted in one of his the team’s goals. The Brazil international took two shots in the game and won two tackles.
RM: Lionel Messi – 9.1
Lionel Messi is this weekend’s highest ranked player, as he helped his team to come from behind twice to beat Villarreal 3-2. Messi took three shots at goal and scored during the game.
CM: Michael Krohn-Deli – 9
The 31-year-old was part of the Celta Vigo side that beat Cordoba 1-0 this weekend, and by the stats it shows that he totally dominated the midfield. He made four tackles throughout the game and took three shots.
CM: Celso Borges – 8.5
Borges produced a Man of the Match performance for Deportivo as they beat Rayo Vallecano 2-1. The midfielder scored two goals on the day and helped guide his side to all three points.
LM: Edgar – 8.7
Almeria's standout performer this weekend, Edgar helped them secure all three point with a goal, and was also named Man of the Match.
ST: Aritz Aduriz – 8
Athletic Bilbao beat Levante 2-0 this weekend and Aduriz was the man behind the brilliant performance. He scored both goals for his club and won the Man of the Match award.
ST: Karim Benzema – 9
The Frenchman was the standout player for Real Madrid this weekend, as they saw off David Moyes' men 4-1. Benzema scored two goals on the day and won the Man of the Match award.
